First, you should seek the advice of an attorney that prepared the documentation on all these issues. Do not rely on the advice they get for free on the Internet on legal issues. A lawyer in your state must answer these questions, then please be aware that anything you say, absolutely wrong.
However, if done well prepared, you may not have to do something more secure in the possession of the facility once it dies. If you have, you can probably go and change the locks and call the police about all intruders. Assuming that no problems with the ownership of the house you can build your personal property and the executor or administrator / rotate admins ... their assets to the presentation of letters testementary or its equivalent. You probably want to have someone with you at all times until the item from the house that protects you against claims that your personal property or otherwise damaged.
I have no idea about the rights of inspection, but tenants are usually responsible lifeMeasurement of waste that may have a claim against their property if the waste there. You must file the faster the executor after death.
If you sell the house, you could find someone who is not bound to a sworn statement that he is dead sign it. From this statement, it will be filed in the Registry.
